PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to issue a direction directing the Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, to expedite the trial pending in C.C.No.53 of 2016 within the time stipulated fixed by this Court. O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, to expedite the trial pending in C.C.No.53 of 2016 within the time stipulated fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioners are the accused before the trial Court in C.C.No.53 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 326 and 506(ii) of I.P.C. The case is of the year 2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of five years, the trial is not completed and the matter is not disposed of by the trial Court.

3.Considering the limited request made by the petitioners, 1/3

there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.53 of 2016 and dispose of the same on merits, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and send a compliance report to the Registry.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
