O R D E R

Heard, the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Respondents and carefully perused the materials available on record.

2. The petitioner worked as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Modern History, in the respondent university and he retired on 30.06.2023. After his retirement, he sent several representations to the respondents for seeking for retirement benefits. As there is no response from the respondents, finally, he submitted representation on 24.11.2024 and the same was also not considered by the respondents. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent university, made several contentions. But, he could not place proper instructions about the status of the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2024.

4. In view of the same, it appears that the representation of the petitioner is pending with the respondent university. It is the case of the petitioner that after his retirement, he did not get single rupee towards retirement benefits. Due to which he suffering a lot. As per the petitioner, he will get Rs.1,04,10,000/- (Rupees One Crore and Four Lakhs and Ten Thousand) towards retirement benefits. The correct reason is not assigned to the petitioner for not considering the request of the petitioner.

In view of the above factual position, this Court intends to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself with the consent of both the parties and without going into the merits of the case, with a direction to the respondent 2 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2024 in accordance with law, within the time to be stipulated herein under to meet the ends of justice.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent 2 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2024 in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
