The petitioner is before this Court challenging the communication issued by the first respondent to the second respondent, whereby the first respondent has called for information as to whether the plot, which is the subject matter of the sale deed, forms part of an approved or unapproved layout.
2. The petitioner is the vendor of the subject plot. The petitioner, along with the purchaser, presented a sale deed before the first respondent for registration in respect of the said plot.
3. In order to ascertain whether the subject plot is situated in an approved or unapproved layout, the impugned communication came to be issued by the first respondent to the second respondent. The said communication is only an internal correspondence, and no prejudice is caused to the petitioner at this stage. Therefore, the petitioner has no 2/5
locus standi to challenge the same. However, the petitioner apprehends that the first respondent may unduly delay the registration of the sale deed.
4. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to process the document presented by the petitioner for registration and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
