PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., praying to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate Police Protection to the property of the Petitioner comprised in Town Survey No.768, situated at Muppakkovil Vadakku Theru, Municipal Ward No.7, Kumbakonam Town, Thanjavur District, totally measuring 2320 sq.ft based on his representation, dated 04.04.2022. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate Police Protection to the property of the Petitioner comprised in Town Survey No.768, situated at Muppakkovil Vadakku Theru, Municipal Ward No.7, Kumbakonam Town, Thanjavur District, totally measuring 2320 sq.ft based on his representation, dated 04.04.2022.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner owned a property comprised in Survey No.768, situated at Muppakkovil Vadakku Theru, Municipal Ward No.7, Kumbakonam Town, Thanjavur District, measuring about 2320 Sq.Feet. Crl.O.P.(MD) No.7662 of 2022 as such, the petitioner had lodged a complaint seeking police protection to his property. The police protection cannot be provided to the property though the petitioner is the owner of the property.

3. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief, if so advised.
