ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus to impose heavy punishment for perjury to the 4th and 5th respondents, who have cheated and filed false counter affidavit in WP(MD)No.16218 of 2014, which is admittedly pending before this Court. 2.The present petitioner claimed himself to be the Managing Trustee of Tamil Nadu Centre for Public Interest Litigation, Madurai. The Honourable First Bench of Principal Seat of this Court, while considering a writ petition filed by the very same petitioner in W.P.No.1560 of 2017, dated 20.01.2017 has found that no petition filed in the name of the Tamil Nadu Centre for Public Interest Litigation can be maintained and no such petition shall be maintained in this name and style.
3.The said order reads as follows:
"The petitioner is styled as "Tamil Nadu Centre for Public Interest Litigation". At the inception, we must note that there cannot be a specialist organization to file public interest litigations. The name under which this organization is being run creates a wrong impression in the public as if the organization is a specialist only in filing public interest litigations.
An organization doing voluntary work and having expertise in a particular field may approach the Court. We cannot allow an organization to pick up the morning newspaper, find out what is the issue raise and file half-baked petitions without any knowledge of the subject or law and that too without any research on the subject. We are, thus, of the view that any petition which is filed in the name of "Tamil Nadu Centre for Public Interest Litigation" cannot be maintained and no such petitions shall be maintained in this name and style."
4.Therefore, by following the above order passed by a Division Bench of this Court, this writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable.
