O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to issue patta on the basis of the representation dated 27.02.2026 and 09.03.2026 in respect of the property in Survey No.1034/16 and 1035/2 situated at Perungudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis Sale Deed Document No.4861 dated 07.11.2025 of the sale deed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the land originally belonged to P. Kalaichelvi and R. Jayalekshmi, who purchased the property from a previous vendor in Document No. 2466 of 2014, dated 05.09.2014. Prior to this, they had acquired the property through Document No. 3241, and have been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the property since then. Although the revenue records reflect the name of the petitioner's vendor, the vendor did not update the records before selling the property to the petitioner. The petitioner, in turn, purchased the land through Sale Deed Document No. 4861 of 2025, dated 07.11.2025, and has since been in possession and enjoyment of the property as per the sale deed. The petitioner approached the respondents to request mutation of the revenue records, but this request was not 2/5

processed. Subsequently, representations were submitted on 27.02.2026 and 09.03.2026, but these too have not been considered by the respondents.

3. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Court directs the Tahsildar/2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2026 and 09.03.2026, after perusing the petitioner's vendor sale deed as well as the petitioner's sale deed and pass appropriate orders within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.. A personal hearing may be provided to all parties involved.
