O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to refix the advertisement board for Dr.Ambedkar Memorial Padipagam at the very same place in Survey No.229/1, measuring an extent of 23 square meters, situated at Kaliyamman Kovil Street, Viraganur Village, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2026.

2. The case of the petitioner is that in the said non-objectionable place, a board mentioning the Padipagam was situated. When the road widening work was started, the petitioner was directed to remove the board. Accordingly, the board was removed. Now, when the petitioner seeks to refix the same after leaving the required road margin in the very same survey number, the board exists in front of the Padipagam.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, would Page No. 2 of 5

submit that the respondents will consider the petitioner's representation on its own merits, after conducting a local inspection and considering local objections, if any, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2026 shall be considered by the third respondent. The petitioner shall be heard and if any other third party is also necessary, they can also be heard. Thereafter, a decision shall be taken in accordance with law. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
