O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb for laying water pipe line based on his representation dated 31.01.2016 in the light of direction issued by the Tahsildar, Ottanchathiram in Na.Ka.No.12717/15/E-1, dated 19.01.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the State.

3. It appears that the petitioner has obtained an order dated 19.01.2016 from the Tahsildar for laying of water pipeline to his land. When the petitioner wanted to implement the order and lay the pipes, Shanmugavel, opposite party, is preventing him from laying the pipes. It is represented that Shanmugavel's wife Eswari is the Village Panchayat President of Sindhalaipatti Village Panchayat. Using her influence, the said Shanmugavel is causing disturbance to the petitioner. In this regard, on the complaint of Shanmugavel, petition enquiry is pending in C.S.R.No.23 of 2016 against the petitioner. The petitioner's complaint dated 31.01.2016 is also under petition enquiry. Under such circumstances, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ottanchathiram Sub Division is directed to enquire both the complaints and give sufficient protection to the petitioner to implement the order of the Tahsildar dated 19.01.2016.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petitions is ordered.
