Prayer in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.698 of 2021 Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the learned Additional Sessions Special Court (PCR Court) Dindigul District to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider the bail application on merits on the same day in connection with Crime No.831 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent of police station.
ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Thiru. M.Prabu, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Thiru.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent, this Court made the following order: This petition has been filed to extend the time to execute the order passed in Crl.O.P(MD).No.698 of 2021 dated 21.01.2021 on the file of this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that by order dated 21.01.2021, the petitioner was ordered to surrender before the concerned Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading this order. Due to pandemic situation, he was unable to surrender before the concerned Court in time. Therefore, he filed a present petition for extending the time to surrender.
3. Heard both sides.
4. Considering the pandemic situation and the closure of the Courts, this petition is ordered and two weeks time is granted to the petitioner to surrender before the concerned Court as ordered by this Court, from the date of resumption of regular work in subordinate Courts.
