Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct 'Adal Padal' in between 06.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on 18.05.2022 at Arulmigu Sri Utchimakaliyamman Temple, Sivanthipatti Village, Palayamkottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representations, dated 13.04.2022 and 21.04.2022 respectively.

O R D E R

The prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct 'Adal Padal' in between 06.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. on 18.05.2022 at Arulmigu Sri Utchimakaliyamman Temple, Sivanthipatti Village, Palayamkottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representations, dated 13.04.2022 and 21.04.2022 respectively.

2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there is a rival party with regard to celebrate the festival of Arulmigu Sri Utchimakaliyamman Temple.

3. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 21.04.2022 after issuing notice to the rival party and dispose of the same on or before 17.05.2022.
