Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court Directing the 1st respondent i.e., the Principal Secretary to Government, Water Supply and Municipal Administration Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioners representation dated 06.07.2019 regarding his notional promotion as Bill Collector/Junior Assistant with effect from 1997 on par with his juniors and similarly placed persons based on the proceedings No. 32872/Na.Pa.3/97-1 dated 24.10.1997 of the Director of Municipal Administration, Chennai and revised pension proposals calculating the petitioners notional promotion and increments on par with his juniors may be ordered to be sent to the Assistant director of Local Fund Audit, Chennai For Petitioner : Mr.S.Visvalingam For Respondent : Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, Special Government Pleader.

O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed for the alleged disobedience of the orders passed by this Court made in W.P.(MD) No.21498 of 2019 dated 04.11.2019.

2. Today, when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that, the orders of this Court passed in W.P.(MD) No.21498 of 2019 dated 04.11.2019 has been complied with and an order to that effect was passed by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CONT.P.(MD)No.546 of 2020 respondent on 19.03.2020 and a copy of the same also has been served on the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also did not controvert to the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader.

4. In view of the compliance made, no further orders are required to be passed in this contempt petition. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
