O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to activate the petitioner's smart ration card bearing No.NPHH-333016558733 based on the petitioner's representation, dated 11.02.2022 and her legal notice, dated 27.01.2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, her husband, Sivappusamy, died on 30.01.2020 and thereafter, her smart ration card has been deactivated. In such circumstances, the petitioner has given a 1/3

representation on 11.02.2022 followed by a legal notice, dated 27.01.2022 requesting the respondents to activate the petitioner's smart ration card bearing No.NPHH - 333016558733. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3.Heard Mr.R.Karunanidhi, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation seeking for activation of her smart ration card is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.02.2022 followed by her legal notice, dated 27.01.2022 seeking for activation of her smart ration card bearing No. NPHH333016558733 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
