ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police not to harass the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner to the 1st respondent dated 26.04.2021.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the properties bearing Plot Nos.20 & 21 in Narayan I.T. Salai, J.J.Nagar, Avaniyapuram, with an extent of 6 cents originally belonged to one Mrs. Padma wife of Ramanuja Iyyengar. She died without any legal heirs and the petitioner is possession of the property. After a long time, one Mr.Kannan claimed that he is the legal heir of the deceased Padma. He gave a complaint to the second respondent, based upon which, the petitioner harassed by the second respondent. He also https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.M.P.(MD)No.6237 of 2021 appeared before the Officer and made his statement that the issue is civil in nature. In respect of that, he is being continuously harassed. Hence, he filed the present Criminal Original Petition.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor would submit that there is no complaint given by the third respondent against this petitioner and no enquiry is pending. So the question of harassment does not arise.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor, nothing survives in this present petition and therefore, no further orders are required. This Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
