This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give the permission and police protection for conducting Sathiya Harichandra Drama Programme on 26.06.2018 and other day festivals in connection with yearly Temple Festival of Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Temple, Arulmigu Sri Malaimel Udaiya Ayyanar Temple Festival for the period 19.06.2018 to 27.06.2018 situated at Manakudi Village, Nagaram Post, Ramanathapuram District based upon the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner has made a representation on 16.06.2018 for conducting the Temple Festival from 19.06.2018 to 27.06.2018. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that there is a dispute to conduct the festival between the two groups.
5.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2018 is pending for consideration before the respondent and hence, he undertakes to place all the relevant materials before the respondent. 6.In the light of the aforesaid submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2018 on merits and in accordance with law on or before 23.06.2018.
7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
