ORDER
The writ petition is filed for a mandamus seeking direction to the 3rd respondent to issue a fresh auction/tender notification with reference to the allotment of shops in the shopping complex situated at Sivagangai bus stand, Sivagangai.
2. Heard Mr.P.Venkatesan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.S.Madhavan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for R1 and R2 and Mr.J.Lawrence, learned counsel, who takes notice for R3.

Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the material records of the case, the grievance of the petitioner is that when the original tender was issued by notification dated 19.02.2026, the same was adjourned by the communication of the respondent dated 03.03.2026. Thereafter, no auction proceedings have been conducted.

When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent Municipality would submit that the communication relied upon at page No. 11 of the typed set of papers is not properly worded. In fact, only the opening of the sealed covers had been postponed. Thereafter, further steps have been taken to open the tender documents, and the process for allotment of the shops is underway.
5. In view of the above, the relief sought in the writ petition has already been complied with by the respondents. Since the respondents are proceeding to allot the shops in accordance with law, it is open to the petitioner, if aggrieved by the allotment of any shop or by the tender proceedings in any manner whatsoever, to challenge the same in the manner known to law.
6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above liberty. No costs.
