ORDER

Seeking a direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.25 of 2016 dated 22.01.2016 on the file of the second respondent police, to some other impartial Investigating Agency, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that on the Complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.25 of 2016 has been registered on 22.01.2016 for offences under Sections 294(b), 324, 354 and 506 (ii) IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act and the investigation has been persuaded by the Sub Inspector of Police.

4. It is the contention of the petitioner that the investigation is not proceeding in the proper lines and the culprits are being shielded by the Sub Inspector of Police. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Under such circumstances, this Court is of the view that it will be in the interest of justice, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District, is directed to monitor the investigation, in Crime No.25 of 2016.

6. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
