2. It is averred in the petition that the son of the petitioner has been arrayed as one of the accused in a case registered in Crime No.997 of 2014, West Police Station, Kovilpatti, wherein he made his surrender on 01.10.2014. But the Inspector of Police, West Police Station, Kovilpatti has foisted a case in Crime No.999 of 2014 on 02.10.2014 so as to make it as a ground case for invoking Act 14 of 1982 against the son of the petitioner. Under the said circumstances, the present Petition has been filed for getting the relief sought for therein.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has reiterated the averments made in the petition by way of argument.
4. The learned Government Advocate has made an endorsement on the petition to the effect that the proceedings of the Inspector of Police to invoke Act 14 of 1982 against the son of the petitioner has been rejected by the detaining authority/first respondent herein.
5. Considering the endorsement made on the side of the respondents, the relief sought for in the petition has become infructuous and therefore, this petition deserves to be dismissed.
