ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner based on the decree in O.S. No. 280 of 2006 dated 27.03.2007, in respect of Plot Nos. 3 and 12 measuring 9840 square links in Survey No. 33/30, Poolangudi Village, Trichy West Taluk, Trichy District, and to rectify the revenue classification within a time frame fixed by this Court.

The petitioner claims right over the property in Plot Nos. 3 and 12, measuring an extent of 9840 square links, situated in Survey No. 33/30, Poolangudi Village, Trichy West Taluk, Trichy District, through a Sale Deed dated 17.11.1976, registered as Document No. 1580 of 1976. The second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, vide communication dated 04.05.2024 in Oo.Mu.No. 1308/2024 (A7), directed the Tahsildar to conduct an enquiry and submit a report. Till date, the Tahsildar has not submitted any report to the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer.

Therefore, the third respondent/Tahsildar is directed to conduct an enquiry after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as any other rival claimant and submit a report to the second respondent within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the second respondent shall consider the same within a period of two months therefrom.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
