Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.08.2015 and to remove the petitioner's name from the History Sheet No.01/2012, dated 07.08.2012 maintained on the file of the 1st respondent under the light of the Judgment reported in 2010 Writ L.R.335 and in compliance with the Standing Instruction-57/2013 issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu vide his proceedings, dated 29.11.2013, within a stipulated period.

Mr.N.Manoharan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the Respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents.

3. The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the repetition of the petitioner dated 11.08.2015 and to remove the petitioner's name from the History Sheet No.01/2012, dated 07.08.2012 maintained on the file of the 1st respondent under the light of the Judgment reported in 2010 Writ L.R.335 and in compliance with the Standing Instruction-57/2013 issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu vide his proceedings, dated 29.11.2013, within a stipulated period.

4.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits, and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.08.2015, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
