O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to conclude the Patta process based on the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in Oo.Mu.No. 1308 of 2024 (A7) dated 04.05.2024 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the property originally belonged to T.R. Ramauja. Subsequently, it was purchased by the petitioner's vendor, G. Kamalam, through a registered sale deed dated 13.12.1982 (Document No. 2350 of 1982). Thereafter, the petitioner purchased the property from G. Kamalam by a registered sale deed dated 01.04.2004 (Document No. 1239 of 2004) and has since been in possession and enjoyment of the property. The learned counsel further submitted that there are several representations made to the third respondent seeking mutation of revenue records and issuance of patta in the petitioner's favour, no action has been taken. regard, the petitioner, along with 44 others, submitted a joint representation dated 15.02.2024 to the second respondent, requesting direction to the third respondent for issuance of patta. Pursuant to this, the second respondent issued a communication in Oo.Mu.No.1308/2024 (A7) dated 04.05.2024 directing the third respondent to take appropriate action. However, no steps have been taken by the third respondent till date.

3. Heard the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is noted that the second respondent had received the complaint and initiated proceedings in Oo.Mu.No.1308 of 2024 (A7) dated 04.05.2024; however, the third respondent has not concluded the same. Therefore, this Court directs the third respondent to complete the proceedings within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
