ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the the second respondent to provide police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and his family members from the third respondent. 1/4

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the due to the land dispute between the parties, the third respondent threatened the petitioner and his family members. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint to the respondents 1 and 2 and the same is still pending.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, enquiry was undertaken by the second respondent police. During the course of enquiry, it was found that dispute between the neighbours and there is no life threat upon the petitioner and his family members by the third respondent. He further submitted that within two weeks, the petitioner's representation will be disposed of.

4. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the second respondent to enquire the third respondent by issuing summon, depending upon the enquiry, to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.03.2023 within a period of 15 days from the date of appearance of the parties. If the petitioner is aggrieved over the outcome of the representation, he may workout his remedy through the appropriate proceedings. 2/4

With the above directions, this Criminal Original petition is disposed of.
