PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition is filed, under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to direct the learned I Additional District Judge, Thirunelveli, to dispose of the GWOP.No.3 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Civil Revision Petition to direct the learned I Additional District Judge, Thirunelveli, to dispose of GWOP.No.3 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner and the respondent got married on 22.08.1999 and two female children were born in the wedlock viz., Sudhiksan and Lakshya. Due to some misunderstanding, the petitioner has filed HMOP.No.75 of 2015, for divorce. Subsequently, he has also filed GWOP.No.3 of 2014, for custody of minor children.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that evidence on behalf of both sides was closed and it is posted for arguments. Thereafter, the respondent unnecessarily filed interlocutory Applications and due to which, GWOP is being adjourned frequently for the past five years.

3. In the circumstances, the petitioner has filed the present revision.

4. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Taking into consideration the material facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, it may be expedient to issue a direction to the learned I Additional District Judge, Thirunelveli. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed and the learned I Additional District Judge, Thirunelveli, is directed to dispose of GWOP.No.3 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 30th April 2017. No costs.
