ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Mohamed Sherrudeen, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Siddarthan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Defin Jeenath learned counsel for the third respondent. 2.This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to consider the application dated 06.01.2025 of the petitioner submitted seeking for appointment under compassionate ground, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.986 (D2) Department, dated 2210.1991, within the time stipulated. 3.The father of the petitioner, who worked as Gardner in the third respondent school, died on 12.05.2022 while in service. Being the legal heir, with the consent of all other legal heirs, the petitioner has submitted an 2/5

application to the respondents on 24.05.2022 seeking compassionate appointment. Another representation was submitted on 14.10.2024. Pursuant to the same, the first respondent through proceedings dated 30.10.2024 forwarded the application dated 14.10.2024 of the petitioner to the third respondent to provide a job to the petitioner on compassionate grounds. But it is not considered till now. Aggrieved by the action of the third respondent, the present writ petition is filed.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as the petitioner has already submitted his application to the respondents for appointment under compassionate grounds and the same was forwarded by the first respondent to the third respondent on 14.10.2024 and it is pending with the third respondent till now, in my considered view, it is appropriate and desirable to dispose of this writ petition directing the third respondent to consider the application dated 14.10.2024 of the petitioner within the time to be stipulated herein to meet the ends of justice.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders to appoint the 3/5

petitioner in any suitable post in the third respondent school within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
