ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to conduct proper enquiry and to file a final report in Crime No.258 of 2017 dated 18.12.2017 within the stipulated time.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.258 of 2017 for offence under Sections 147, 148 and 506 (i) IPC and Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act. After completion of investigation, the respondent police has has closed the said complainant 'as mistake of fact'. Advocate (Crl.sdie), this criminal original petition is dismissed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
