[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU,J] The petitioner is a member of Ward No.11, Ganapathypuram Town Panchayat, Kanyakumari District. He has come up with this Public Interest Litigation to direct the first respondent to take necessary action against the officials and contractors, who wasted the Government money and the place, where the above said check dam has been constructed has to be made in such a way to facilitate the general public to use and for the transport of bicycles and two wheelers by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2014. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. A perusal of the records in the accompanying affidavit filed in

support of this petition would go to show that the petitioner has not made out even a prima facie case to show that as to when, where, how and by whom, the public money has been wasted. It appears that the petitioner being a member of the Panchayat, wants to settle his personal score by way of this Public Interest Litigation.

3. Hence, we do not see any public interest involved in it. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. Consequently connected Misecellaneous Petition is closed.
