ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the directing the Respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct Kabaddi Competition for Women on 29.03.2025 and 30.03.2025 at the 1st respondent College Campus, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 19.03.2025.

According to the petitioner, he sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 19.03.2025 to conduct Kabaddi Competition for Women on 29.03.2025 and 30.03.2025 and the same has not been considered. Hence, this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent would submit that in the 1st respondent's College there is no ground for conducing Kabaddi Competition and the ground is available only to conduct Cricket Competition, not for any other games. matter of right, the petitioner cannot seek direction as against the 1st respondent to give permission to conduct Kabaddi Competition. 4.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that earlier, some other political party have conducted the same event and the 1st respondent has also granted permission. However, for the political reason, now the request of the petitioner has not been considered.

5.The prayer of the petitioner is to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct Kabaddi Tournament and for provide police protection. Since the 1st respondent is College, this Court cannot direct the 1st respondent to grant permission to conduct Kabaddi and as a matter of right, the petitioner cannot seek permission from the 1st respondent. However, the 1st respondent by taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances can decide the same.

6.In view of the aforesaid submission, it is for the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, if any permission was granted by the 1st respondent to any other political party, the 1st respondent has to follow the same yardstick to the petitioner also. Accordingly, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and the 2nd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection, in accordance with law.

7. With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
