[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 and Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the third respondent.
2. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, notice to the private respondent is deemed unnecessary.
3. The complaint of the petitioner is that though the fourth respondent was elected as the President of Mallakottai Panchayat in Sivagangai District, her husband Radhakrishnan is functioning as de facto President and he is also taking part in all the meetings of the Panchayat. Apart from the above, there are certain complaints for certain irregularities also made by the petitioner. Complaining inaction on part of the respondents in acting on his complaints, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.
4. Without going into the merits of the matter, we direct the Inspector of Panchayats, namely, the District Collector, Sivagangai District / second respondent to enquire into the complaints of the petitioner and pass orders thereon, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
