Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission to petitioner's temple festival for conducting "Karakattam" and "Innisai Kacheri" at the evening hours on 11.09.2015 at about 10 p.m., to 2 a.m., in Arulmigu Mayiladumparai Sudalai Andavar Thirukovil, Muthalaikulam, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District. The present Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission to the petitioner for conducting "Karakattam" and "Innisai Kacheri" at the evening hours on 11.09.2015 at about 10 p.m., to 2 a.m., in "Arulmigu Mayiladumparai Sudalai Andavar Thirukovil", Muthalaikulam, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

Mr.N.Manoharan, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous, since the period for for conducting "Karakattam" and "Innisai Kacheri" at the evening hours on 11.09.2015 at about 10 p.m., to 2 a.m., in "Arulmigu Mayiladumparai Sudalai Andavar Thirukovil", Muthalaikulam, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District., has already been over and therefore, nothing survives in this matter.
