ORDER

The above Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned District Judge, Kanyakumari District at Nagercoil to dispose the D.O.P.No.57 of 2016 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner would aver among other things that the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnized on 25.04.2012 at church of Our Lady of perpetual help at Sahayagiri Village. Due to the wedlock, a female child was born on 06.01.2015. According to the petitioner, the respondent is a drunkard and due to the addiction, the respondent has ill-treated the petitioner and tortured her for more dowry and in that process, she was thrown in the street without shelter and food. Therefore, she was forced to file a petition in D.O.P.No.57 of 2016 before the District Court, Kanyakumari District at Nagercoil.

3. According to the petitioner, the D.O.P. Case was filed in the year 2016 and the respondent purposely evaded from appearing in the Court and therefore, she has come forward with the present petition seeking early disposal of the case.

4. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

5. The prayer of the petition is with a limited prayer for speedy disposal of the case in D.O.P.No.57 of 2016 and therefore,

no notice is necessary to the respondent.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in this Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the learned District Judge, Kanyakumari District at Nagercoil to dispose the case in D.O.P.No.57 of 2016 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (P&A) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To The District Judge, Kanyakumari District at Nagercoil.
