O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filled seeking a direction to direct the first respondent not to harass the petitioners in the name of enquiry based on their own complaint dated 24.06.2020 and not to interfere in the civil dispute having by the petitioners with the second respondent.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the first respondent police harassed the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the first petitioner, the second respondent police initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.94 of 2020. He would further submit that during the time of enquiry, the petitioners admitted that there was a money transaction with the second respondent. He would further submit that in the enquiry, both the petitioners are willing to settle the amount due to the second respondent immediately after completion of COVID-19 and thereby the enquiry initiated by the first respondent was closed with the advice to settle the dispute amicably.

5.In view of the above, since as of now there is no enquiry pending against the petitioners, the question of harassment does not arise. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
