This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police to register the complaint given by the petitioner dated 20.01.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has given a complaint by post to the respondent police whereas the territorial jurisdiction is Edmalaipatti Pudur Police Station, Trichy District.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to go in person before the Inspector of Police, Edmalaipatti Pudur Police Station, Trichy District and lodge a fresh complaint containing the same contents as found in the complaint, dated 20.01.2016 and on receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action shall be taken in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise, the same shall be enquired into and action shall be taken in accordance with law.
