O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.217 of 2000 on the file of the first respondent. 2.The contention of the petitioners is that based on the complaint lodged by the 2nd respondent, the 1st respondent registered the First Information Report in Crime No.217 of 2000 for the offences punishable under Section 468 of IPC r/w Section 12(1)(a) of the Passport Act, 1967, against the petitioners. The grievance of the petitioners is that though the case was registered in the year 2000, so far no final report has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation in this case has been almost completed and the final report is also made and it will be filed before the concerned Court, within a very short time.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to file the final report in this case within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the contents of the final report, he can workout his remedy through 2/4

appropriate proceedings.
