O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members as well as to provide police protection to the petitioner's property, situated in S.Nos.330/3 & 330/4 Keela Ayigudi Village, Ilaiyangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.11.2020

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there exists a civil dispute between the parties, for which the petitioner had lodged a compliant before the second respondent 29.07.2020 and after receiving the complaint the second respondent issued CSR No.502 of 2020 dated 29.07.2020 and did not take any action against the third respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner has once again sent a representation dated 01.11.2020 to the respondents 1/3

1 and 2 to take necessary action and to give adequate police protection for the life of the petitioner and his property, but, the same was not considered by the respondents/ police. Hence, the present petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that there was a civil dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent. Based on which, the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 29.07.2020 and it is pending. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 01.11.2020 will be considered by the respondents/police.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents/Police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.11.2020 by following the due process of law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
