O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent herein to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner on the basis of his representation dated 27.03.2021

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a senior citizen and doing agriculture work at Nalvalikollai and he purchased a piece of land from the third respondent for doing agricultural activities. Thereafter the third respondent restrained the petitioner herein from doing agricultural work in his land and even attacked him for which a complaint has been lodged before the Pattukottai Taluk Police Station and a case has been registered in crime No. 73 of 2018 under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) of IPC. Thereafter the petitioner has sent a representation to the first respondent on 25.09.2020, since no action has been taken he has sent another complaint to the first and second respondent on 27.03.2021 seeking police protection, but, the same was not considered by the respondents/ police. Hence, the present petition.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.6294 of 2021 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 27.03.2021 and it is pending. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.03.2021 will be considered by the respondents/police.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents/Police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.03.2021 by following the due process of law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
