ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with the case in Crime No.177 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, have filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners came to a function in a drunken mood and abused the defacto complainant and his mother in filthy language and attacked with liquor bottles.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners and the defacto complainant are relatives and due to civil dispute, this case has been foisted against the petitioners. The petitioners have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police opposed for grant of anticipatory bail on the ground that the first petitioner is having two previous cases and the second petitioner is having seven previous cases. 2/3

5. Considering the nature of allegations and also considering the antecedent of the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
