Mr.K.Ramaiah, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. The petitioner claims to be the wife of one Late.Manimaran, who served as a Conductor in the respondent - Transport Corporation and passed away on 24.10.2025. It was thereafter, the petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated 20.02.2026 to the respondents requesting them to enter the name of her son Mr.Abhishek, who is aged about 25 years as one of the dependents family member in the service register of her deceased husband. However, the respondents have not taken any action on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to enter

the name of her son Mr.Abdhishek in the service register of her deceased husband as one of the dependants family member.

5. Mr.K.Ramaiah, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents, fairly submitted that the representation dated 20.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

6. In the light of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 20.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
