O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this criminal original petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report in Crime No.284 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, Koodalpudur Police Station, within a time frame in the interest of justice.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the police were not able to arrest the accused and recover the property. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even in the complaint in Crime No.284 of 2014, the petitioner has given the name and discreption of the accused, namely, Pavithra, W/o.Sivachandran. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that a case in Sellur Police Station Crime No.370 of 2016 for similar offence has been registered against the said Pavithra and under such circumstances, the police cannot plead that they are not aware of the whereabouts of the accused.

4. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to immediately collect details from Sellur Police Station with regard to Crime No.370/2016 and take appropriate action in accordance with law expeditiously.
