ORDER
This petition is filed seeking police protection to the petitioner on the basis of his representation dated 22.02.2019.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no such representation is pending on the file of the second respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner sent a representation through post and he has also enclosed a copy of the receipt. However, the Special Sub Inspector of Police attached to the second respondent is present along with the files and would submit that no such representation is received by the second respondent, so far. Even though, receipt is filed on the side of the petitioner, whether the representation is served upon the first and second respondents is not clear on record.
4. At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that if the petitioner submits a fresh representation setting out the facts and circumstances necessary for police protection, it would be considered on merits.
5. On the basis of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation setting out the facts and circumstances necessary for police protection within 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the first and second respondents are directed to consider the representation on merits and in accordance with law.
