O R D E R

The petitioner seeks disposal of his appeal pending with the 1st respondent regarding cancellation of patta.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The 1st respondent, on receipt of the appeal from the petitioner has forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent for report. Thereafter, petitioner has given a representation to the 1st respondent on 02.02.2024. As there is no progress, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Considering the pendency of the appeal from as April 2023 before the 1st respondent, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to conclude the enquiry after receiving necessary report from the 2nd respondent, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the parties concerned. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
