This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent/ The Inspector of Police, Pattukottai Taluk Police Station, Pattukottai, Thanjavur District to give necessary police protection to life of the petitioner and his family members as and when required by the petitioner on the basis of the petitioner's dated 27.01.2021
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there exists a civil dispute between the parties, for which the petitioner had lodged a compliant before the second respondent 27.01.2021 to give adequate police protection for the life of the petitioner, but, the same was not considered by the respondents/ police. Hence, the present petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that there was a civil dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 5. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Crl.O.P(MD)No.6310 of 2021 Based on which, the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 27.01.2021 and it is pending. He further submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.01.2021 will be considered by the respondents/police.
4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents/Police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.01.2021 by following the due process of law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
