Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the entire records pertaining to the Letter No. 018973/1087-1/Ni.Pi-1/ooh.3/2022 dated 25.02.2022 on the file of the 3rd respondent and quash the same and direct the Respondents to take necessary steps to appoint petitioner on compassionate ground under petitioners application dated 11.06.2020.

ORDER

The petitioner's father, namely Mariappan, was working as Fitter in the respondent/TNEB, has died during the service on 24.05.2019. The petitioner claiming compassionate appointment has submitted an application and the same was rejected. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner by referring to the subsequent letter of the Superintending Engineer dated 16.12.2025, submits that the Superintending Engineer is now considering the request of the petitioner and has also sought for No objection from the petitioner's mother and elder brother. The communication dated 16.12.2025 has also been placed before this Court.

3.In view of the subsequent development that the respondent/TNEB is considering the request of the petitioner, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner sympathetically, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
