Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The petitioner served the third respondent society as watchman. He reached the age of superannuation on 30.06.2016. His terminal benefits have not been settled. Because of the repeated representations given by the petitioner, he is being paid a sum of Rs.5,000/- per month. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader cites financial difficulties. Counter affidavit to that effect has been filed. The reasons stated in the counter affidavit cannot be accepted. When the petitioner had served the third respondent society as its employee and retired from service, the terminal benefits will have to be settled as early as possible. The respondents 1 and 2 are directed to ensure that the petitioner's benefits are settled as early as possible. If there are some financial difficulties, the respondents 1 and 2 can even consider liquidating the third respondent society. 2/4
4.This writ petition is allowed. No costs.
