This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.07.2014 and direct the second respondent to register the petitioner's application form to include her as a beneficiary in the Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Department's "Pen Kulandai Pathugappu Thittam, Thittam-2" within a time as stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.07.2014 and direct the second respondent to register the petitioner's application form to include her as a beneficiary in the Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Department's "Pen Kulandai Pathugappu Thittam, Thittam-2" within a stipulated time.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4.It is averred in the petition filed in support of the Writ Petition that the petitioner and her husband are daily wage labourers and they have two female children namely Jeyalakshmi and Rithika and they are struggling for their livelihood and they are entitled to be a beneficiary of the scheme namely "Pen Kulanthai Pathugapu Thittam, Thittam-2" introduced by the Tamil Nadu Government. The petitioner submitted an application form in the year 2009 to get herself enrolled in the scheme. Even after several personal appearance, the petitioner's name was not included and no amount was deposited as per the scheme. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation before the respondents 1 and 2 on 17.07.2014 to get herself enrolled in the scheme. The same was not considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

Considering the submission made on either side, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.07.2014, and pass appropriate orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
