PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to construct the new Tahsildar office of Melur Taluk in T.S.No.2 situated at Karuthapuliyanpatti Ward, Melur Town, Madurai District instead of T.S.No.12, Melur Ward and Town, Madurai District or any other place as this Court may deem fit by considering the representation given by the petitioner dated 08.02.2024.

(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to construct the new Tahsildar office of Melur Taluk in T.S.No.2 situated at Karuthapuliyanpatti Ward, Melur Town, Madurai District instead of T.S.No.12, Melur Ward and Town, Madurai District or any other place as this Court may deem fit by considering the representation given by the petitioner, dated 08.02.2024. 2/6
2.Heard Mr.K.Jeyamohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. In view of the order that is going to be passed in this Writ Petition, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with. 3.In order to have a new office building for the Tahsildar Office at Melur, the land having been located, building construction has been commenced by inviting the tender, the fourth respondent being the contractor has already started the work and according to the learned Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents only that work has commenced and 20% of the construction work has already been over. 4.
When that being so, the petitioner has moved the present Writ Petition saying that the place where the building construction is going on for locating the Tahsildar office is in a congested area. 5.Whether in a particular area, the Tahsildar office to be located or not is the decision to be taken by the revenue administration, where a group of people cannot raise any objection, that too, on the ground that it is going to be located in a congested area.

6.Therefore, this kind of issue cannot be projected by the petitioner before this Court for redressal through Writ jurisdiction and therefore, we are of the view that this Writ Petition is liable to be rejected, accordingly, it is dismissed.
