ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned rejection order dated 27.11.2025 and to direct the third respondent to issue separate patta in favor of the petitioner.

2. In the impugned order, the respondents have stated that the survey number and subdivision number were wrongly mentioned.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner' vendor has purchased the property in the year 1986 and the petitioner has purchased the property in the year 1994.

4. In the meanwhile, Theni District was bifurcated from Madurai District. Consequently, there was a change in the survey numbers and other revenue records. Therefore, a fresh enquiry ought to be conducted in the present case. Accordingly, the impugned order is quashed. The petitioner shall submit all the relevant records before the respondents. The respondents are directed to conduct a fresh enquiry and pass a speaking order after conducting the enquiry. While conducting the enquiry, the bifurcation of Theni District shall also be taken into 2/4

consideration. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
