Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner wants disposal of the proceedings that are pending in respect of his layout approval.

3.It appears that the petitioner had submitted an application for layout approval as early as in the year 2012. Since it has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.7921 of 2020 been pending for a very long period, he is constrained to file this writ petition.

4.When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is submitted that the respondent Corporation had already forwarded the papers to the Local Planning Authority on 27.07.2020. Now it is the Local Planning Authority namely the third respondent herein who must take a call in the matter. Since the petitioner's layout application is pending for almost 8 years, I am of the view that interest of justice would be met by directing the third respondent to dispose the said application within the period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case. 5.This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
