Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct the 'Adalum Paadalum' dance programme on 19.06.2018 in pursuant to the "Sri Sellayee Amman Kovil" festival programme scheduled to be conducted at Veerapatti, Kulathur Taluk, Pulliyur, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2018 and 13.06.2018. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct the 'Adalum Paadalum' dance programme on 19.06.2018 in pursuant to the "Sri Sellayee Amman Kovil" festival programme scheduled to be conducted at Veerapatti, Kulathur Taluk, Pulliyur, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 04.06.2018 and 13.06.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2018 is directed to be considered, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents had objected the said representation of the petitioner and in the said temple, Kumbabishegam was performed on 17.06.2018 and therefore, the said application is not maintainable. 5.In the above circumstances, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 19.06.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
