Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil to expedite the Trial in C.C.No.1002 of 2007 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil to expedite the Trial in C.C.No.1002 of 2007.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner absconded for quite sometime. Thereafter only, the petitioner surrendered. Therefore, there is a delay in the trial proceedings.

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and also considering the fact that this case is of the year 2007, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.1002 of 2007 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
