Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from granting permission for performing processions in the public road especially at Kaliyakavilai-Kanyakumari National Highways and Kavalkinaru-Parvathipuram State Highways which cause hindrance to the general public by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2015 within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.S.C.Herold Singh For Respondents : Mr.M.Alagadevan, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) This writ petition has been filed to forbear the respondents from granting permission for performing processions in public road especially at Kaliyakavilai-Kanyakumari National Highways and Kavalkinaru-Parvathipuram State Highways which cause hindrance to the general public by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2015.

2.The grievance of the petitioner appears to be that during festival time there is a huge crowd which is causing inconvenience to the general public. Hence, the petitioner has made representation to the respondents in this regard. Since no order has been passed so far, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.We do not express any opinion on the merits of the representation of the petitioner except to observe that it is for the District Administration and the Police to regulate the orderly movement of religious or non religious congregation in the manner provided by law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
