ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to allot the petitioner private channel number by name S30 or any other channel in favour of the petitioner for Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi
District as an allottee having PLC. No.54820 as per the allotment order made by 1st respondent in No.10655/TACTV/Local Channel/2012 dated 19.11.2012 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.9.2014.
2.According to the petitioner, he is a LCO (Local Cable TV Operator) in Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District, under the Arasu Cable TV Corporation. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the first respondent had allotted him a private channel and he had been regularly paying the monthly charges, no private channel was allotted to him. Hence, in this regard he made a number of representations before the respondents. However, the same had not been considered by the respondents. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition.
3.Mr.Abdul Saleem, learned counsel appearing for the respondents/Arasu Cable TV Corporation submitted that they are ready and willing to consider the petitioner's representation within a time limit prescribed by this Court. 4.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.9.2014, in the light of the allotment order passed by the first respondent, dated 19.11.2012 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
